Clinical shifts will be completed at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Connecticut Children’s Hospital.
Program leadership and experienced clinical preceptors throughout different departments provide clinical oversight and training in multiple departments to reinforce the classroom learning and providing real world experience to the students.
Students will spend over 200+ hours in the following clinical units:
- Emergency Department
- Intensive Care Unit
- Labor and Delivery (students will observe live births)
- Cardiac Cath Lab
- Respiratory Department
- Operating Room
- Pediatrics (located at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center)
- Trauma Rounds
- 9-1-1 Dispatch Center
